The Builder Innovator spring summit and who it is actually for

Builder Innovator runs two summits a year. The spring edition, the Housing Transformation Summit, runs 13 to 15 April 2027 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the fall edition, the TecHome Builder Summit, runs 26 to 28 October 2026 in Dallas, Texas. Both use the same 48 hour hosted format built around pre scheduled meetings rather than a trade floor, and the organizer covers airfare, hotel, food and registration for attendees.

Why the hosted format changes what you get out of it

Most builder events put you on a floor and hope the right person walks past. Builder Innovator does the opposite. The organizer states plainly that it covers airfare, hotel, food and drink and registration for all of its event attendees, and in exchange the schedule is booked before you arrive. The stated model is to find innovative vendors and leaders, host VIP level guests, inspire action through general session content and deliver a concise 48 hour schedule with no time wasted. You are not browsing. You are keeping appointments.

The attendance tracks the organizer publishes are national and regional builders, multifamily companies, and luxury builders and integrators, and the named attending companies include Lennar, David Weekley Homes, Taylor Morrison and Tri Pointe Homes alongside roughly thirty others. These are companies with model home teams and community sales counselors, which is exactly the sales motion that is hardest to observe and easiest to leave uncoached.

The spring edition is worth treating as its own event rather than a repeat of the fall one. It carries its own name, the Housing Transformation Summit, a different city, and a spring calendar slot that lands before the summer selling season rather than after it. For a builder deciding which of the two to attend, that timing is usually the deciding factor: spring gives you two quarters to act on what you decide, October gives you a budget cycle.

How to spend a booked 48 hours well

Because the meetings are booked in advance, the value of the trip is decided by how well you can answer one question in a single meeting: what does this actually change about how my team sells. Write that down before the schedule is set, and pick vendors against it rather than against a category list. If you want the fall edition and its six track program instead, the Builder Innovator Summit page covers Dallas in October, including the Brilliance Awards. For what a production builder did about its own sales consistency, Taylor Morrison, one of the builders on the organizer's own attendee list, is a SalesAsk customer.

What we do for the companies in that room

A community sales counselor runs the same tour dozens of times a week. Nobody sees it. The manager reviews what they had time for, which on a ten person team is a fraction of what happened, and the rest is reconstructed from a CRM note written by the person being measured. That is why two communities with the same product, the same price and the same traffic can be twenty points apart on conversion with no explanation anybody can point at.

SalesAsk records the appointment from the rep's own phone and scores it against your sales steps, not a generic template. Coach Dean writes the coaching while it is still the same day, and the summary, next steps and notes sync into your CRM without the rep typing them. For home builders and multifamily operators that means every visit gets coached, not just the ones a manager could sit in on.
